I love being...

...a Midwestern Girl!

Why you ask? Because this is corn season...

...and we have corn as far as the eye can see.

Since sweet corn is seasonal, we have to eat it while we can get it.

So having our local farmer right down the road is a big help.

He is fully stocked and ready to fill our cravings for fresh summertime veggies.

Dinner was out of sight tonight!!!!

We even had some interesting ears of corn ....

How nice to have that so close. I love the look of corn fields. I grew up around them as well.

Have fun and be corny.

Hi there.

Discovered your blog through Anne Marie and Na Da Farm Life. She posted the cutest "magical teacher wands" on her blog, giving credit to you. Just had to drop by and see for myself.

I too am a midwestern girl. I was born in Ohio, grew up in Missouri, and now reside in Kansas. My parents are native of Michigan and summers spent visiting my grandparents' cottage and dining on sweet corn are favorite memories of mine.

Many blessings to you,
Valerie

I also love corn and I've got to tell you something: American corn is the best! There is no other country in the world with better or sweeter corn...I know about this: I'm a corn expert!!
LOL!!
